BOBBY DREAMLAND

This is the half-satiric, half-tragic tale of Bobby Leonetti,
an incredibly good-looking '70s teen-ager who dreams of becoming a rock star.
Bobby's horrendous voice does not prevent an unscrupulous manager and record
company from foisting him upon an unsuspecting public, nor does his lack of
talent keep Bobby from becoming a pop-music sensation. But like every teen idol,
his star burns out after just a couple of years, with tragic results that Bobby
brings on himself.
I wrote the first draft of Bobby Dreamland in 1994, revised it several times from 1995-97, and completely forgot about it until 2005, when I found the manuscript among some old papers. Now I post Bobby Dreamland to the Internet for anyone who'd like to read the damned thing.
